Bardejov (UNESCO)

The city center is surrounded by urban fortifications, which creates a preserved defense system consisting of walls and towers, dating from the second half of the 14th century. This monument is the most complete fortification system of all medieval cities fortifications in Slovakia.

The Calvary in Bardejov is situated in the immediate area of the city. It consists of 14 chapels and is completed with a beautiful church with two towers. It is supported by a high wall with an entrance to the relatively large underground chapel of St. Mary Magdalene on the west side.

In Bardejov city you can also find the City Castle, Šariš Museum, and Icon Museum.
