Kolbasov

In the village is a made of stone, Greek Catholic Church the "Temple of Three Saints" from 1886, in which are precious icons on canvas and wood. From the other monuments we can mention the war cemetery of World War I or a memorial board on the wall of the municipal office exposed in 1996 in memory of Jewish citizens murdered by an unknown armed commando, probably so-called Banderites on 6th December 1945. The tragedy is even sadder because they were the citizens who came back to the village from concentration camps. The massacre of 11 inhabitants of Kolbasova miraculously survived only one 17 year old girl, Helena Jakubovičová. Her parents, one sister and brother were killed by the Nazis in Oświęcim. She and her second sister returned from camp in Neuengamme-Salzwedel.
