Snina

Snina county city offers to visitors the opportunity to visit, among others, the manor house from 1781. Its construction was ordered by countess Terézia Wan Dernáth on the site of the original wooden manor. Her sons decided to sell their assets – together with Snin – to Jozef Rholl. He mined iron in the region, and constructed foundry from where the famous statue of Hercules comes.

After a major reconstruction, the manor house was opened for visitors. Of course, except Monday, when museums are sometimes closed. At the manor house (on the other side than the road) there is a statue of Hercules - the symbol of Snina.
