Zatwarnica is a little village located on the perimeter of the Bieszczady National Park. There are a dozen or so houses, a hotel, a shop and a reconstructed Bojków chyża, i.e. a traditional wooden house built by Boykos, in which all rooms were under one roof and each of them occupied the entire width of the building (so-called building with a single row of rooms). It was created on the initiative of the Association of Development of Zatwarnica Village. The cottage functions as a museum, because the exhibits collected here allow to familiarize with the Boykos daily life and work. Among them we can find the tools of agricultural and everyday nature. Genre scenes from the lives of former residents and the professions they perform are also shown. The oldest exhibits are even several hundred years old. At the Museum one can also learn about history, events connected with the surrounding area, legends passed down from generation to generation and surrounding nature. Being in the Cottage one can buy souvenirs of local craftsmen and books.
