Šarbov

The village was etsablished in the 16th century. In 1944, during the fights for liberation of Czechoslovakia in Carpathian-Dukla Operation the village was completely destroyed. It is home to one of the smallest military cemeteries from World War I. It was placed near the church. It is formed by four graves with twelve soldiers. A German soldier, an officer of the Austro-Hungarian army and ten Russian soldiers were buried here. In the village there is also the Greek Catholic Church of The Dormition of The Holy Mother of God from 1923. There is also a ski resort with natural snow and two lifts in the village.
